Coloring & Art Books

Tamamade Studios presents a series of coloring/art books called "Creative Palettes". These coloring/art books are rather unique. They combine the art of coloring/shading with drawing or sketching in a zen doodle fashion. An individual, young or old, will be enticed and challenged by this relatively new art form, to take a journey of self-introspection and meditation.

Each image in the Creative Palettes books is divided into 3 basic sections. The Original Print, the Gray Scaled Print, and the Outlined Print. They are easily found in the book by tab dividers that have a small image of the print. A color rendition of the image is provided on the tab sheet.

Designed to tickle your 'coloring/shading' abilities, there are eight

fine ink prints. Each print is accompanied by a related short story

from the artist and inspiring quotes to ponder while you are

creating away.

There are eight 'gray print' images, one of each drawing in the book. Here is where a challenge lies. You can simply color it OR you might also dare to expand your skills with a pen. You can copy the existing patterns from the original or you can add new patterns over the originals. You can add a background or make any other changes that you fancy. And of course . . . you can color it.

Then there are eight outlined prints, one of each drawing. Outlined prints give you a starter image with some detail and allow you, "the artist", to create a masterpiece for yourself!

A "Notes Page" has been included with inspirational thoughts and sayings to entice feelings about the image and how you relate to it and it to you. That's a lot to comprehend . . . but we encourage you to give it a try. Practice your own zentangle/zendoodle designs!

Color Me Greeting Cards

Many of our patrons have asked if they would be able to color our deluxe greeting cards–making their cards 'extra special' before they sent them off. Such a great idea! However, the glossy finish on those cards is definitely not suitable for markers, colored pencils or even crayons.

Thus . . . the creation of our 'Color Me Cards'. They are printed on paper that just loves to be colored! We then decided to create packets of these cards and design them to complement our 'Creative Palettes' books.

The result was three sets of cards entitled: Artist Collection, Southwest Edition, and Special Edition. Each set has eight cards and envelopes duplicating those in their 'Creative Palettes' counterpart.
